German offspring Jun 18, 2009
Up to now it was only accomplished 3 times in Germany to breed Peruvian Boa c. constrictor
Generally farm - bred specimens are put on the market. However, it is doubtful that all of these specimens are actually farmbred.
In comparison to german captive born Peruvian boas, farmbred ones have some major drawbacks:
they are accustomed to the climate in the country of their origin
their immune system is adjusted to the germs in the country of their origin
they are stressed by the suboptimal housing in the breeding farms and the transport to Germany
they are frequently infested by parasites
Until 5 years ago we have also traded in such specimens and know what we are talking about. Our experiences have mainly been not very pleasureable. Therefore we decided to refrain from offering wildcaught and farmbred specimens in the future.
All the more we are happy to have the opportunity now to offer a german offspring of Peruvian Boa c. constrictor. The parents are farmbred (an exception that proves the rule) and were bred by a customer of ours who had the good luck and also the knowledge to breed Peruvian redtail boas.
The babies have shaped-up stunningly. You will acquire robust and healthy german offspring which provides you with joy and don't give you a hard time.
Here you can see photos of the babies. We ask for your understanding that reservations from the photos are not possible due to organizing reasons. We sell the animals on "first come, first pick" base.
